NT Orwin 477K

Orwin is a big bull in a small package, with the type and characteristics that make him a complete package. Maturing at approximately 1,300 pounds, he may be considered small by today’s standards, but he lacks nothing in terms of quality and functionality. He has earned his place as the top bull in the herd.

Orwin knows he’s a bull and isn’t afraid to stand his ground against bulls twice his size, yet he is exceptionally gentle and easy to work with. He maintains a short, slick hair coat year-round, even through the winter months, and has proven himself as an efficient breeder, settling his cows in under 30 days.

Despite his moderate mature size, Orwin produces calves that grow considerably larger than himself. He has also consistently sired more heifers than bull calves, something the breeder has observed without knowing exactly why.

A maternal grandson of Sundancer, Orwin closely resembles his grandsire in both build and type. The majority of his calves are white-bodied, with birth weights typically around 5.5–6% of their dam’s weight. They develop good flesh and condition as they grow, making Orwin a valuable sire for producers looking for moderate-framed, functional genetics without sacrificing calf growth.
