Rooted Agriculture, or Rooted Ag for short, is based in Fort Scott, Kansas and serves as one of the newest additions to the Bos Sires distributor network. With deep roots in regenerative agriculture and a strong consulting foundation, Rooted Ag works directly with producers to help them make smarter, more profitable decisions—starting with the genetics that power their herds.

Farm manager Nate first stepped into the cattle world with a vision: raise grass-fed American Wagyu. But like many producers committed to low-input systems, he quickly realized the animals he started with weren’t built for that environment. Rather than compromise, he adapted—using AI to reshape his herd and get cattle better suited for the land. That hands-on experience now shapes how Rooted Ag serves others: not by pushing products, but by guiding producers toward long-term sustainability through better genetics and better management.

Rooted Ag currently consults with ranchers across Kansas and beyond, especially those working with grass-fed and grass-finished programs. While they don’t currently handle semen, embryos, or live animals directly, they play a key role in helping producers understand their options, map out their goals, and make breeding decisions that align with their environment. With fall breeding being the most common in their region—due in part to managing fescue toxicity—they’re well-versed in timing, planning, and the nuances of low-input operations.

They’re also uniquely positioned when it comes to scale. As consultants and operators, their team helps manage nearly 25,000 acres of regenerative cropland and pasture—a number that’s growing every week. With close working relationships across the regenerative ag space, including NRCS and other agencies, Rooted Ag brings both grassroots experience and broad industry perspective to the Bos Sires network.

What makes them stand out is their ability to combine boots-on-the-ground knowledge with data-driven support. Their proprietary app allows producers to easily track herd performance, grazing rotations, and on-farm data in real time. Whether you're managing 50 head or 500, they offer tools that simplify the chaos and bring clarity to decision-making.

Rooted Ag is passionate about helping producers move toward regenerative systems that are profitable, practical, and built to last. Their own farm operates on the same principles they promote, and their commitment to walking the walk shows through in every conversation.

For producers in Kansas and neighboring regions, Rooted Ag offers more than just advice—they offer partnership, insight, and a pathway forward. They’re here to support fellow cattlemen who want to leave the land better, pass something down, and raise animals that don’t just survive—but thrive.
